Uncharted Worlds by GSJennsen Uncharted Worlds by GSJennsen
This picture is huge (7776 x 4374, 16:9 ratio) - click "Download Image" in the top right to get the fullsize version :)

One thing that Mass Effect 1 did very, very well was present a wide variety of alien planets - gorgeous, foreboding, inspiring.

These aren't all the planets you can visit, of course, but they are some of the most beautiful, and represent a cross-section of the variety the planets have.

The individual planet pictures are available separately here: [link]

Too bad we can't....they were so beautiful! :D When I finished the "Citadel" DLC a few years ago, knowing that was the end of the trilogy, I couldn't help but think to them, too..

I'd have to agree with you. One of the things that I absolutely adored in the first game was the drastic differences in all of the worlds. And thank you for giving me an awesome background!

No, thank you :). I really enjoyed putting it together - though the toughest part was narrowing the pics down to 9 planets!

Nice selection of worlds. I like the contrasting of colours and the way you can imagine yourself wandering around on the surface, Bioware really did create some fantastic worlds. Added to favourites. :)

I missed that in ME2 :( There were no such views. Not so many, not so beautiful and not so detailed. I loved to look at all the details through my sniper rifle. But in ME2 You only got limited view and no time to enjoy it :/ At last in ME3 there were views made especially to admire. Although it wasn't the same...

I totally agree. ME2 had a few beautiful locales (Bekenstein comes to mind), and a number of settings had "character", but it really suffered from the narrow maps and lack of exploration. ME3 significantly upped the beautiful settings (then upped it again in Leviathan); the maps were still narrow and exploration limited, but you didn't care as much because the views were stunning.

Still, nothing compares to ME1 exploration :/

Awww, no love for the majestic view of the Klendagon Rift? Or the pyramids?

I thought that more than 9 pics would get unwieldy and too busy, and wanted to capture the diversity of appearances as much as particularly beautiful settings. Maybe one day I'll do a Series II :).

Justified, yes. Maybe you should throw in Insai'Sei in there as well, while you're on the planning stage =)

Thanks! I would love that :). I actually looked at whether I could make it available as a print, but as fan art is has copyright restrictions, so no such luck...

I can understand the copyright issues. However, if you have no such issues with what a person might do privately on the wall of their study right above their computer.... :)

Oh, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with the idea of you (or anyone) putting the pic on their wall - in fact, it fills me with happiness :D

Unfortunately, I can't make a print available on DA without charging for it (because DA does the legwork of printing and mailing, then takes a cut of the proceeds), and I can't charge for it because Bioware owns the copyrights to the scenes.

However, what you do or don't do with the downloaded file (make sure and get the big version), well, "I" won't tell Bioware...;)
